Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I am a graduate of Yuba Community College in 2007 with an AA, and an AS in Chemical Dependency Counseling. I graduated Brandman University with an undergraduate degree in Applied Studies with a minor in Psychology in 2017. Most recently I graduated from California State University, Chico with my Master of Social Work degree in May 2021. I currently work in the criminal justice system providing therapy to people who are on probation. Before this, I worked for fifteen years with behavioral health in the substance use disorder services department, providing treatment in outpatient settings. I have also worked with the homeless population connecting them to the coordinated entry sites for services, and trying to assist them into getting into one of the local shelters. I retired from the county in 2021, and now work for the behavioral health department in one of our local health clinics.
I have lived in the Yuba-Sutter area most of my life. In my spare time I enjoy riding motorcycles (I own a BMW and a Harley). I also enjoy working out (which is huge part of my self-care), participating in Spartan races, seeking new spiritual experiences, traveling abroad, white water rafting, hiking and spending time with friends. I am grateful to be a part of the Yuba Community College faculty.
