Welcome to WCC! I am Ingrid Larsen, a Counselor, and Professor. During my educational journey, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California State University, Chico in 1999, a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Credential (PPS) from Sonoma State University in 2008, and later studied at Florida Institute of Technology in Behavior Analysis.
I started my career pathway working with victims of crime and supporting health education. As an educator, I worked in the Lake County K-12 system coordinating a local Healthy Start program, as a Credentialed Counselor, District-Wide 504 Plan Coordinator, Behavior Analyst, and adjunct Counselor in the Community College system for Disabled Students.
These experiences led me to Woodland Community College where I am honored to work with students in our local Lake County EOPS/CARE and CalWORKs programs. As your Counselor/Educator, I promise to be your partner in creating your best life. I work from a solutions-focused perspective and reflect on my educational background to develop comprehensive services. We support your whole self; your physical well being, educational goals, social/emotional needs, and assist you with career pathway explorations. As a human being, I am a lover of the outdoors. You can find me hiking on the hills, paddleboarding on the lake, or camping with friends & family. Creating a strong connection with nature restores the harmony in my life. I look forward to getting to know you better & supporting your dreams!
