I graduated from Mesa College in May of 1995 with an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology. I began to work as a technologist in 1995 in Grand Junction, Colorado. I worked in numerous towns and cities across Colorado, ranging from orthopedics, clinic, and hospital facilities. During that time, I also achieved certification as a Mammographer and Computed Tomography Technologist.
In 2010, I decided to continue my education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Colorado Mesa University. In 2012, I returned to education to teach Special Education. While I was in school, I was approached to teach x-ray, by my clinical coordinator when I was in school. In the last semester of my Masters's Degree program, I changed from Special Education to teaching and learning. While I enjoy working with students and their individual needs, I found a perfect fit joining my 25+ years of work experience with teaching future Radiologic Technologists.
I began at Yuba College as the Clinical Coordinator and accepted the position of Program Director when the previous director retired. I also keep my skills current by working as a CT and Radiography technologist at Colusa Medical Center. I have a job I absolutely love, and working with students brings a smile to my face every day.
