Kimberly Butcher has worked in the field of early childhood since her college days when she worked as a preschool assistant and a preschool teacher. For the past 30 years she has served in a leadership capacity. Kimberly currently serves as the Palermo Union Elementary Preschool Services Director and as Early Childhood Adjunct Faculty for Yuba Community College.
Kimberly is dedicated to student development and the supports that help early childhood educators excel in their work. She has a MA in Education and she has a wealth of expertise in instructional excellence and modifications to support differing needs, and relationship building in the classroom. Her drive to keep up with young learners is fueled by a deep personal belief that we are all responsible to advocate for those who are not able to advocate for themselves. Kimberly is dedicated to serving the entire family and providing additional support for families with exceptional needs children. This is what attracted her to Family Soup and their mission. What began as getting families connected to Family Soup services led to her volunteering to serve on the Family Soup Board. She believes that modifications to learning environments foster growth for all students and that early intervention is the key to future school success. Kimberly loves to spend time with her husband, catching fish or playing games with as many of their 6 adult children as possible. Her greatest joy is having a race and then reading to her Grandson. Kimberly’s Motto: Together we are stronger, for the ones who matter most, children.
