Conrad Cecil

Conrad Cecil is an actor, director and instructor. He has performed in thrillers and historical dramas, and can be seen in feature films alongside Sophie Marceau, Liam Cunningham and Clémence Poésy. He grew up in England, has played leading roles in Shakespeare’s cannon and lived in France, performing in both French and English.

Conrad has directed plays at the Sutter Street Theatre in Folsom and is an acting instructor at Yuba College alongside James Gilbreath. He runs workshops on performing poetry at Beyond Baroque literary arts center in Venice, California, and coaches for the NEA-funded high school poetry recitation program Poetry Out Loud for Yuba Sutter Arts Council, and for Nevada County Arts Council. 

He prepared an edition of Shakespeare's Sonnets printed in letterpress in the original 1609 orthography (The Petrarch Press, California 2015); and he wrote a book in French and English on performing arts production "L’anglais pour la diffusion international du spectacle” (Editions WEKA, Paris 2010).

Conrad has a Masters degree from RADA & Kings College London and trained as an actor at East 15 Acting School, London. He works across SoCal & NorCal in film, TV, and on stage.
